I imagine a review process of the information that’s about to be merged, and then a selection of (this, that, or both) to be merged.

I’d like to be able to merge projects. Sometimes, I have a duplicate because of the Basecamp API import issues, or I don’t end up liking the hierarchy I was building with a client, so I want to merge the projects so that I can maintain the hours.

I love Xero, and the integration with Harvest is likely to get a lot better.

I think Jim has the mark here. I’d like to CC my bookkeeper for instance.

Would you all do anything different? Or is this the way you’re likely to do it yourselves?

We use multipart invoices in a hacked way.

We often invoice 50% of a project, then 25%, then the last 25%.

I’d like to better be able to invoice a client and show them the progress in each invoice.

So the second invoice might look like this:

Service : Web design | .25 of $40,000 = $10,000 (due upon project completion)
-————————————————————————————————
Service : Web design | .25 of $40,000 = $10,000 (due now)
-————————————————————————————————
Service : Web design | .50 of $40,000 = $20,000 (paid)
-————————————————————————————————

I’m interested in partnering with any developers who might be interested in developing an API connection to a new Quickbooks alternative called Xero. (http://xero.com)

We are working on developing plans for connecting harvest, with xero, and banks, and an online bill paying / invoice paying service.

Please let me know if anyone is interested and/or has experience.
