RE: Project Task Management IN: Feature Requests
Yes, but that doesn’t work as a task assignment, just ties the tasks to an outside project management tool. At this stage, we would move both processes off to a different tool that can handle it all.
RE: Project Task Management IN: Feature Requests
I appreciate that Harvest started out as a time tracking tool, but naturally the more we use it, the more we want to do with it. However at some point it becomes infeasible to operate the business without a unifying tool. Right now we seem to have reached the point where tracking tasks on a project has to be done on an assignment basis (i.e., before the work is carried out rather than after/during).
We would need to be able to assign tasks to be completed to a user, on a project/task/description basis, assigning projected time, etc. This could then be picked up by a user, assigned time to it, and eventually marked as completed. This is very simple project management, but it would fit really well with the way Harvest works.
Two questions:
1. Is there an interest for the Harvest team to do this?
2. If so, what are the chances of seeing this in the next 30-90 days?

RE: Expense Handling IN: Feature Requests
While you’re at it, can you add multiple currency support to expenses. This is a critical feature for any non-US business, and right now is making us look at alternatives to Harvest, even though we love it for time tracking and invoicing.
RE: Expense Handling IN: Feature Requests
Hello,
We currently use Harvast’s expense tracking for all our expenses, that is client and internal expenses.
Some of these expenses are billable, and some are not. The ones that are not, usually go under the “company” account. Also, some expenses are paid by the company (i.e., by a consultant but on a company card), and others by the consultant directly. This makes it difficult to figure out what to actually reimburse the consultant on.
What would be very useful is the following:
1. Ability to mark an expense as billable or non-billable, against a client account. We could then track real expenses to a client, even if not all of them get billed back to them.
2. Ability to mark an expense as reimbursable. This would allow us to quickly report on what needs to be reimbursed to the consultant, and what has already been paid by the company.
Any chance these could be implemented?
