Where is the report the shows PROFIT?
Hi there,
I’m an independent designer, and bill by the hour, and sometimes by the project. What I love about using Harvest is that I can always see how much I’m making from month to month. I would love to use the “expenses” feature, but the thing holding me back is that when I put in expenses, it lumps those numbers in with all payments received. There is no report that lets you moniter the bottom line.
Harvest, please give us a report for:
PAYMENTS REC’D – EXPENSES = PROFIT
Isn’t this a very basic thing that everyone would want to know? I find it hard to believe that with all of the features included, that a business owner could not see what the bottom line is, without having to run an expense report, then subtract that number from the payments received report. Isn’t that the reason we’re spending all this time keeping our finances and billables organized?
Thank you!
Thanks for getting in touch! Harvest is designed around easy time-tracking and quick invoicing. It’s not really intended as a full accounting application.
In order to produce profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, it’s best to use a full-blown accounting package.
I hope that helps!
