Timesheet Duplication - How do I do it?
Harvest instructions say:
“How to Turn On Timesheet Duplication
You can only turn on timesheet duplication when viewing your timesheet in Day view for the current date. Your timesheet must be blank in order to turn on timesheet duplication.
Go to Timesheets > Time.
On today’s blank timesheet, click copy over all entries to duplicate your previous timesheet. This will copy over the projects/tasks you had on yesterday’s timesheet, and these will be the items that appear on your timesheet every day.”
I don’t see any text that reads “copy over all entries” – where does it say that? Is there some setting I’m missing that enables timesheet duplication?
Thx much, Sandy
The option to turn on timesheet duplication only appears at the beginning of a new day before any entries have been entered into your timesheet. Once entries have been added to the timesheet, the option disappears until the following day.
I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
I know that’s what the instructions, but I don’t see any option to duplicate the timecard when I go to it first thing in the morning – i.e., before I’ve made any changes. Where is this option displayed? Is there anything I need to turn on in settings for this option to be visible? Thx, Sandy
Thanks for writing back! Here’s a screenshot that shows the link to turn on timesheet duplication: https://img.skitch.com/20111216-kitwtiibw1ccqrr...
Thanks for using Harvest!
Thanks a lot, Scott. For whatever reason that line does not appear on my screen. I appreciate you taking the time to show me where it should be – at least I know it’s not my eyes or mind, it’s my implementation. Maybe you have to have a certain version or some option selected. No problem. I’ll continue to manually select projects. Sandy

Please check for the Copy Over All Entries link first thing tomorrow and you should be all set.
Hi Scott,
I haven’t logged any time yet this morning, so I just went there and there’s simply no comment about copying over the previous day’s entries. I wondered if it was because I don’t log out of the program at night, so I logged out and then back in and still no comment. Oh well.
Again, thx for your help, Sandy
Hmmm… This is unusual! Please send us a support request to support@harvestapp.com and we can take a closer look. We have a bunch of handy tools in our support system where we can take a look at your account directly. Thanks!
For anyone who might read this – the issue was that I track time using the start/stop time, not duration method. The duplication feature doesn’t work with the start/stop time method.
