Variables in Recurring Invoice Messages
Unlike normal invoices, messages that are part of an automatically sent recurring invoices cannot contain variables. However, recurring invoices saved as drafts DO support variables in their messages.
I would like to use a variable in my recurring monthly invoice for a client to have the ‘month’ show in the subject line for example something like:
Subject: Client Name – month
Where only the field marked with % is the variable the client name is typed in as it remains the same.
Can you please let me know how this is possible?

Hi Rodney — the available variables are listed in the Messages section of the Invoices > Configure page in Harvest. Unfortunately, month isn’t one of them! Thanks for letting us know you’d like to have that variable available, though. I’ll add it to our feature request list.

Hi Christopher, We are actually also looking for the ‘Month’ variable (possibly with the option of ‘current’ or ‘next’ month). Do you have any idea when this will be developed?
