Project Due Date

Thanks for the response. I think in our case we are not looking for anything more than just a way to put a date… that we can use to sort by. It seems to already record the date the job is added.

All of the more complicated scheduling/calendaring could come later. :)

I agree. Nothing fancy, just a due date and a reminder. I wouldn’t want a full featured calendar ( although syncing with my google calendar would be ideal ).

A 1 month, 2 week or 1 week choice of reminder would be great as well.

Harvest is fantastic for sending invoices, managing tasks and tracking time, but as a small fry freelancer I often have many small projects and they occasionally get lost in the shuffle. With something like a due date and reminder I could alleviate that.

I would suggest further to add due dates to tasks. I would appreciate as well to create dependencies between tasks and to assign tasks to people. With these features, it would be awesome to query the list of tasks to do for each user and sorted by priority (due date, dependency and possibly a custom priority level).

I really like this web app, but feel like it would need just a little more to be able to use only this app to track project/tasks deadlines as well.

I am testing out Harvest and may cancel the account I have somewhere else because I LOVE the quoting, invoicing and online payment features BUT… I would miss the ability to see projects/tasks based on due dates.

Still testing… may be the deal breaker for me as the ability to track due dates helps with my planning and time management.

Just another Harvest user wishing I could add some deadlines. It would be great to have deadlines for tasks and projects.

I also have a government contract that ends after 8 weeks regardless of whether I use up the hours. It would be great to track that somehow (i.e., put a deadline on the client, maybe?)!

In a perfect world, I could somehow plug it all in to Google calendar!

Were using harvest for one week now and we love it. The project deadline feature seems to be the only thing were missing until now. Would be great to have the ability to get a simple overview of the projects by deadline.

and indeed, the online invoice/payment system is fantastic!

Do you have any timeline (deadline :)) on when this feature will be available, as we are now just tracking it in spreadsheets, which is sooooo oldfasion.
