Mark Task [COMPLETE]

Avatar

Hello!

I just downloaded the Harvest iPhone app, and am very happy with the whole service.

Yesterday I worked on three tasks on a single project, for a single client. Today I opened the app, and on the “Timesheet” tab, I saw these same projects, with 0:00 time applied. At first I thought my log was lost, but then realized this timesheet views shows only time for the current day.

Anyway,

The 3 tasks I worked on yesterday are completed! I am adding a new task and starting that one today, but I would like these other tasks to go away. Is it possible to mark a task “complete”? Complete tasks would no longer show up in this view, but would be displayed online if you browsed a client > a project for that client > tasks.

I am still learning how to use this site, so thanks for your patience and time if I am just missing something that exists.

Thanks!

Brad

Very strangely, I’ve just come on the forum for the first time to ask this very same question.

I’m finding it very disorganised in the iPhone app as well as the Windows Desktop widget. I now have 101 different tasks in my widget menu, many from old tasks.

I’m slightly different though, I’d like my tasks to stay around, but not have many many instances of each. I use the same task over and over again – eg. Client > Website Troubleshooting – but, each time I start this task to do a bit of work for the client, I add a note to it to give more details on the work done. This makes invoicing clear for the client.

But, it seems that when you add a new note, that creates a new instance of the task which adds to the task list in the apps.

Are we using this functionality wrongly? How would I better go about this?

Thanks,
Colin

I had a similar problem and thought my times had all been lost! Glad to see they aren’t, but would LOVE to be able to see only the projects I’ve worked on for the day listed OR cumulative time spent on all projects listed. All those 0:00s in a row was scary.

Hello folks! It sounds like you may have timesheet duplication turned on which copies over all entries from the previous day.

The option to turn off timesheet duplication appears once per day. You can only turn off timesheet duplication before adding any new entries to the timesheet. Once new entries are added, the option turn it off is removed until the following day. To turn it off:

  1. Go to Timesheets > Time.
  2. On the new timesheet, click Clear All Rows And Start Fresh to turn off timesheet duplication.

Thanks for using Harvest!
