Discount Line Item(s)?
It is usually more useful for me to discount particular line items, rather than entire invoices. Is there a way to do this? Can someone point the way?

No, we don’t currently support line item discounts. I’ll add your name to the feature request for that though and add you to the notification list!

I offer clients a discount (volume or non-profit) on my creative services, but pass along font, image and printing costs at no discount. In order to do discount only my services and not expenses, I need to lower my rate, which won’t show the discount (a physiological negative) or artificially inflate expenses (which lacks transparency).
Not sure what I was thinking with my previous reply — I probably thought you were talking about percentage-based discounts for line items (which we don’t have), but you can enter in a negative dollar amount as a line item on an invoice to apply a discount that way.

I’m really need a solotion so I can get discount on certain line items. Any plans in the near future for this function?

The best thing that I can suggest is to add an additional line item to the invoice for this discount and then reorder the line items so that the discount follows the line item that it discounts. I realize that this is not exactly what you’re looking for, but hopefully it helps!
