Date fields in invoice lines
Hi,
I’ve got a couple of cuarterly recurring invoices and I would really like to automatically add the date of the current quarter in the invoice. In that way I can specify the date of the service. ex:
“Hosting 01.01.2012 – 31.03.2012”
Is this possible in the current solution?
Stig
Currently, there isn’t specific field for dates of service, but you could add the scope of the service into the Subject line of the invoice or into the Description for a specific line item.
I hope that helps!
This is extremely bad. I just had 5 clients tell me they didn’t pay me because they thought the already had… their February invoices all had (1/1/2012 – 2/1/2012) in the task description.
Having to manually go in and update dates in each and every recurring invoices every month makes they MUCH less useful…. and with Harvest being a WebApp doing so is VERY slow and time consuming :(
@jb510: When the recurring invoice template was first created, was “(1/1/2012 – 2/1/2012)” entered as the task description? For recurring invoices, it’s best to use something more generic like “Monthly hosting” and then let the date of the invoice dictate the time period. I hope that helps!
