BUG: Invoice total in thank-you message still incorrect
Since the most recent version of this thread (from May) over in Feature Requests was locked without comment from staff, I’m reposting for a bump here with a little clarification.
The language / calculation is still wrong, and I’m getting tired of having to correct it by hand.
Thanks.

Hi, guys…
I mentioned this a long, long time ago (around 18 months ago) in a galaxy far, far away, and it’s still not fixed.
When you send a thank-you message after a payment is received, the generated note — for a $500.00 invoice — says:
You have now paid $500.00 toward the invoice total of $0.00.
That “$0.00” should be “$500.00”.
Unfortunately, the system grabs the current post-payment invoice total rather than the pre-payment total, which is the actual invoice amount.
Correct and clearer language would be something like:
You have now paid $200.00 toward the invoice total of $500.00. The invoice balance is now $300.00.

Please fix, since I have to hand-correct this every time I send one of these.
Thanks!
…Bob
Sorry for the delay! The forums are set up for customer-to-customer support with the occasional comment from Harvest staff. For official support, please send an email to support@harvestapp.com.
Again, sorry for the delay with this, but it’s likely we didn’t see the original post. This issue is best dealt with as a support request, because we have more tools there to look into this for you. Please send an email to support@harvestapp.com and we’ll check it out!
Thanks, Scott…
It’s not really a support issue, though… it’s a design flaw. And I’ve posted bug reports in the forums before that have been read and commented on by staff.
But, I’ll email anyway…
Thanks.
Thanks for writing back! If the error is sent to our support staff, then we can more easily track it in our development process. Thanks for doing that!
