Billable & Uninvoiced Amounts Don't Match
Hi!
For the life of me, I cannot figure this one out. Why, in some weeks and/or months, do my billable and uninvoiced amounts not match up?! Where is the extra amount coming from? When this happens, it’s always that the uninvoiced is more than the billable.
Has this happened to anyone else? I’m sure it’s something simple that I’m just not seeing, but it’s driving me nuts. If anyone can help, I’d really appreciate it!
Sorry for the frustration! Are you using a broad enough timeframe for the billable hours report? The Uninvoiced report spans the lifetime of your account whereas the billable reports are timeframe-centric.
If the problem persists, please email use at support@harvestapp.com and we can take a closer look. Thanks!
I’m seeing a similar problem. I think it may be a display issue in the “Uninvoiced” Report.
I just ran the report, and for one client it’s showing 1.10 total hours. But when I click the link, it takes me to a detail page that shows only 0.83 hours.
The client listed immediately below in the Uninvoiced report is ALSO listed as 1.10 hours, but it’s grayed out (and so is the “invoice” button)… But if I look at the detailed time report, it shows the 1.10 hours for the second client.
Wait, no, that’s not quite right either. I just logged a few more minutes with that first client (which was reporting 1.10 hours). Now it’s reporting 1.20 hours, but when I click through to the detailed report, it’s showing 0.90 hours.
Is this maybe a rounding issue?
Argh! Sorry to flood you with comments here, but yep..it was the rounding. I had it set to round up to the nearest 6 minutes… Disabling that made all the numbers match up. Oy! :)
Thanks, awilder! I was going to suggest that you check your rounding settings under Manage > Account Settings. Detailed Time Reports will show the unrounded amount while the Uninvoiced report will show the rounded amount so that the invoice totals are as desired. I hope that helps!
