Xero integration
We are interested in using Xero as our accounting package – Harvest integration with this would be good (Freshbooks integrates, as does Workflow Max – but Harvest looks better than these)
Hi @christianaj – We don’t have a Xero integration in development right now, but I will add your name to our request list. Cheers!
Hi @christianaj – Forgot to tell you earlier, Xero is interested in integrating, and you can add your vote to their forum to push it! http://is.gd/3HSLpI
Harvest you are killing us with double entry, Xero users have this integration as number one request.
What is Harvest doing to make this happen?
It would cost us less to migrate to freshbooks which integrates than wait much longer for your team to make this happen.
please make this happen, dont blame xero, a large amount of other companies have integrated….
+1 for this request.
We use…
Harvest for estimating and time logging
Xero for invoicing as it includes the rest of our book-keeping.
Would be fantastic to have them integrated.
Thanks!
We’re talking with Xero now to plan out how Harvest + Xero will work together to provide you with a great experience. Hang in there, this is a top of mind issue and both Xero and Harvest want to make sure we get this right.
Hi,
I’m Corneliu from OneSaas – Cloud Integrations Made Easy: www.OneSaas.com – @onesaas
We’ve recently integrated Xero in our platform and we are working hard to bring Harvest in OneSaas and offer a complete Harvest to Xero Integration.
We hope to have a beta ready by the end of the month.
We are looking for Xero/Harvest users willing to help us through the beta testing. We are happy to offer a good deal to the beta testers.
Regards,
Corneliu.

We would love integration with Xero, primarily at a total invoice/expense level rather than too granular. We are using Harvest for all of our estimation and invoicing and just want to pass the cost into Xero rather than the detail.
Please add me to the list too. Im a new Harvest user for my company, but need Xero integration.
Thanks,
Will
Spooky – just went to post ’Can we have Xero integration and you guys beat me to it! Guess i will just have to post +1

Hi Everyone,
Harvest and Xero are now both connected to OneSaas (www.OneSaas.com) so you can synchronize your Harvest account with your Xero in minutes.
1. Register with OneSaas: https://secure.onesaas.com/signin/register
2. Connect Xero: http://www.onesaas.com/help/xero/connect
3. Connect Harvest: http://www.onesaas.com/help/harvest/connect
4. Configure the accounts mappings and taxes between Harvest and Xero.
It takes about 4-5 minutes to get it all setup and working.
Regards,
Corneliu
I havent tried using oneSaas, and I assume that it works relatively well, but for me its another package I have to use and work with when I would like to keep everything as simple (and cost effective) as possible.
I really would like Xero integration to come out of the box from Harvest, so my point is dear Harvest dev team, please keep working on this one. Its a big selling point imo.
Regards,
Will

Am I to believe that I could import Harvest data into Xero and then invoice from Xero?
Without double entry?
That would be a big win for me, as I find Harvest invoicing to be lacking, whereas Xero looks like they have it figured out.
Hello
Have there been any updates to this please – probably going to start using Xero and would be good if Harvest worked with it…!
p.s. I have added this request on Harvest’s very underused Uservoice account, up to now it was just on the Xero account: http://jonc.eu/qcFxEq
Hi @Jon,
We don’t use/respond to support requests on Uservoice. The Harvest forums and Support section are the best place to get in touch with us!
As @Corneliu has mentioned, there is currently a 3rd party integration between Xero and Harvest using OneSaas. If you have an immediate need to synchronize the two, I’d encourage you to check it out!
+1 for Xero integration. This is one of our top business needs right now. Is there any projected timeframe?
Props to OneSaas, but their setup is too confusing for us and only beta. We’re with Harvest because of the awesome UI and simplicity. Can’t wait to see your integration with Xero.
Hi @dan, I don’t believe we have a timeline on this right now, but I’ll add you to our feature request list. Cheers!
This is coming up for 1 year old this request and very little has happened on it. OneSAAS may work one day but is not there yet. What is the likely hood of this actually happening? It would be such a valuable addition to us all and would be an excellent example of cloud services working together. I have demo’d both Harvest and Xero to many types of businesses. Xero is an easy adoption as it is better and cheaper than competitor products. Harvest is trickier as although excellent, perceptions are that people will be changing their billing procedures and do not want double processes. Invoices created in Harvest live updating into Xero. Invoices marked as paid in Xero updating the invoice status as paid with auto generation of the thankyou email in an everything just works environment. What a day that would be!
We don’t release timelines for upcoming features, but I can say that this is something we’re actively thinking about and something we hope to bring to Harvest in the not-too-distant future.
Would really like this feature! I am currently working with other clients using Harvest and really like the look of it, but abhor multiple entry systems or over complex integrations (OneSAAS – not to mention I need to pay them extra for it too!).
This would be a great partnership, getting more users in both directions! I have been a Xero user for nearly a year now and have made the same suggestion their side!
Please can you get this into your roadmap – it can’t be that difficult if MinuteDock can do it! ;-)
Thank you.
Xygo – this is actually is easy. We used a publicly available script to access Xero from a Drupal installation as a test. We got a connection going inside of an hour. Of course filling in the details of a connection and testing will take a while, but not that long – I consider Harvest to be a better service than the “commercially corrupt*” Freshbooks (*my pet peeve is about a couple of Freshbooks "lock-in-marketing features that doesn’t seem to have been copied by Harvest)
Anyway – that makes Harvest the invoicing system of choice for me – so why don’t they make a solid connection with the world’s premium online accounting system and mutually market each other. I don’t know why Xero are dragging their feet either.
Truly bizzare.
