Vacation TIme/Days Off Tracking

Greetings,

I love Harvest. So simple and elegant. It would be lovely to have the ability to enter, manage and track vacation time and days off in harvest.

Any ideas?

Hey MJ,

We definitely know this is something a lot of people are looking for. At the moment, the best way of tracking these sorts of things is to create internal projects that your employees can track their vacation and sick days to. Thanks for the feedback!

(+1) Me, too :) We’re doing this in Harvest and find that it works OK, but it’s a lot of manual work to add accrued time (to the time budget, which is the total PTO accrued). So, we actually just started tracking accrued PTO in a separate tool, but we still use Harvest for people to enter their individual PTO days.

Holiday Feature would be nice. But we require people to book and get holiday approved a couple of weeks before. So it would require a slightly different workflow for us? Can this be acheieved so Holidays are seperate to the timesheet and expenses approvals?

Hi @psheppard,

We don’t have a vacation feature yet in Harvest, but when we build one, we’ll definitely keep in mind that there’s a few parts of the process, including tracking PTO and submitting for/approving time off. Thanks for keeping this on our radar, and let me know if you have any ideas on how you’d like this flow to work in Harvest!

Our company is begging for this from you guys. Please please add this as quick as you can. It is currently the only feature this does not have we would like.

We’re already running a “Business” project where staff can log their sick days etc. I don’t think there is a need to add an approval workflow for this feature.

Some kind of visual feedback / reporting options would be nice. Say excluding holiday hours from the % of billable time.

Hi.
This is amuch needed feature.
To be able to get the right percentage of billable time we have to spend a lot of time manually customizing the reports.
