Unsubmitted timesheets visible for project managers
Hi,
Harvest offers the functionality to show people that have unsubmitted timesheets (Timesheets → Unsubmitted).
However, this functionality is not available to the project manager.
This seems odd as he is the one that wants to know about unsubmitted timesheets.
Any possibility of making this functionality available to the project manager role?
Kjeld.
(+1) I agree. Right now, the only people that can approve timesheets are Harvest account administrators. I’d like to be able to define a manager for each person or to have the ability for project managers to approve time entries for their project.
Actually, Project Managers and Administrators have the ability to approve timesheets, but only the latter can see unsubmitted time. Project managers can, however, run reports on their projects that include all time entries — submitted or unsubmitted.
I tried to run a report that would quickly show the project manager who hasn’t submitted their hours yet from the past week.
A full report for his project for that week doesn’t help him at all. Entries are organized per day, and not per user, but most importantly: he doesn’t see the lock icon that an Administrator sees when he runs the same report.
So in my opinion running a report on his project doesn’t help the project manager to get an overview of who has, and who hasn’t submitted their hours.
