QuickBooks Online Integration

Avatar

We love your product — best decentralized timekeeping function we’ve found. We also like QuickBooks Online Edition — equally decentralized. But right now we are manually transferring Harvest reports to QB weekly, and that seems like a waste of time. How about adding an automatic export/import function? QB supports such things, and some of your competitors have it.

Thanks! - David

I agree — we’re in the process of setting up a process where we export from Harvest into QB on a regular basis. Once we get this working, I’d like to be able to have the QB export files emailed automatically (to a configurable email address: our bookkeeper) at a configurable interval. Also, is there a way to export to a quickbooks file via the web service API?

I would love this feature as well.

I’m currently evaluating QB products for my small business, and QuickBooks Online is the only choice that makes sense for my business.

I would really like this to also integrate with my harvest account. It would definitely make my life easier.

+1 We use QB Online too.

There’s a new integration service between Harvest and QuickBooks Online called Syncr (“”http://syncrhq.com":http://syncrhq.com">http://syncrhq.com":http://syncrhq.com) that you might be interested in.

It does true data syncing, not export/importing, of invoices, projects/tasks, users/employees, hours, and clients on a daily basis.

Currently, it syncs everything once a day, but customization and the ability to choose which data to sync and how often is coming down the pipeline.

Hmm…. formatting got messed up didn’t it?

Here’s the link again, just in case:

tavon,

There’s a bug in the harvest forums. They link markup isn’t being parsed correctly. Just use raw links in-line (don’t use quotes around display text, since they are being interpreted as fancy/curly quote).

Regarding SyncrHQ, this this looks really cool — I’ll check it out. We’re using QB Desktop right now, so I might wait for that feature to roll out…

To be clear: The Quickbooks export option at company.harvestapp.com/quickbooks/configure does not work for Quickbooks Online, and SyncrHQ.com is the only option?

My business partner Is pulling what’s left of his hair out manually exporting to quickbooks. Does anyone have any experience with this syncR that auto syncs daily?

Avatar

My Business partner commented that the sync sucks and only syncs one way to QB. Is this true?

@snd Send us a ticket at http://www.getharvest.com/help/contact about your questions with Syncr. We’ve got support sharing set up with them, so if we can’t answer your questions, we’ll be able to get you in touch with someone there who can!
