Globally Configurable Invoices "From" email address
Right now, invoice emails are sent “from” the harvest user that actually hits the “Send Invoice” button (in Harvest). Based on my needs, I don’t really like this behavior — since I would prefer that all invoices appear as sent from our Accounts Receivable person (or from a special email address like “”mailto:accounts_receivable@acme.com">accounts_receivable@acme.com"), regardless of who hits the send button. Maybe this could be configurable so that the current behavior is still possible for users who like it.
Has there been any changes to this since February? This would be very helpful as we only want one email account showing for all invoices.
G’day,
This is a critical feature.
As it currently stands, only 1 person can send out invoices and that person must have a generic email address in their profile.
Everyone sends out invoices customers will reply to individual staff via their personal email! Obviously not a good option.
Not to mention the security risk as other staff in the company can use that generic email address to either login or reset the password for that harvest account, gaining access to all the financials.
Any chance of having this implemented really soon?
Another reason that I need this feature is that if we use use Google Apps integration with Harvest, then people have to set their email addresses to be their Google Apps primary domain email address. And, we don’t want this domain (email address) showing up on invoices to customers.
This would be a great feature! We’d love to be able to add something like accounting@domain.com as a sender.
Please add it to the customizing section.
Thanks!
Hi @bigwombat, @Jim, and @jonnytm – Thanks for your feedback. We don’t have plans to add this feature right now, but I have added your names to our feature request list in the event that this is something we add in the future. Cheers!
