Custom Invoices - Option to Merge multiple time entries on single day

Avatar

Harvest has been working well for me.

My Client likes detailed Invoices ordered by Project, date.

When I use the custom Invoice (Selecting: Project, date, task). I noticed multiple entries on the same day, charged to the same project and task. There should be an option to merge this into a single line entry.

rather than:

Project A – 6/24/2011 – Task B 1.00
Project A – 6/24/2011 – Task B 0.50
Project A – 6/24/2011 – Task B 1.00

Report:
Project A – 6/24/2011 – Task B 2.50

As a single user, I just keep hitting start and stop on the same task.

Lone Horse End, (nice!),

Yes, I understand there are work-arounds. My desire is to have a concise invoice even if I stop and start on the same task during the day.

Duly noted! This is something on our feature request list, and I’m adding your comments to our notes.

Bump +1, Just had to do my August Invoice! Ugh. I would really like this feature!

Please?

Thank you,
Craig

Ps. Do you have a Changelog, or version tracking page which itemizes your updates?

Does Harvest have any response to this? Please, would you acknowledge that you have read this request.

I’ve noticed a side affect of merging the items myself, is that Harvest then thinks that only some of the merged items are paid? This adds an additional step to go through “un-invoiced” hours, and find them in the merged Invoice and mark them as invoiced.

Thank you

Ooops, I scrolled back and saw the comment from Christopher, so you have responded ;)

It help us Users if you would post somewhere what your plans are for upcoming releases, a Change log page, and an update schedule. This would help you manage our expectations.

Thanks
