Better Postal Methods integration

Avatar

Hi, I would love to see better integration with Postal Methods. They have an API to allow this.

Having to add the Postal Methods email to each client is a pain. I’d love to just have “Mail a Copy” button or something like that.

Frankly, I don’t care if you use Postal Methods or some other company. Whichever you integrate with, that’s the one I’d use.

Let me add my vote to this as well. Their methodology of adding a postalmethod email address to the client is clever, but I really don’t like removing the client’s actual email address in the process.

What if there was a secondary email address?

Ok that is not very elegant I admit. But in lieu of integrating with postalmethods directly, I am not sure how else to do it.

Oh well – the bottom line is that I like the ability to snail mail invoices, but not at the expense of compromising our client’s contact info.

What I do Byrne is just add a “Postal Methods” contact to each of my clients that I want to mail an invoice to.

The problem is, I have to do that for each client, which is really annoying.

@Trevor – What an awesome idea. I hadn’t even considered that! Thanks.

I get an error when I try to click on the Postal Methods link from the Harvest “Add-ons” section: ( https://www.getharvest.com/add-ons ) gives:

“Access deneid” ( http://www.postalmethods.com/send-mail-from/har... )

Unfortunately I still have some clients who prefer snail mail invoices, so this add-on would be useful. It has worked for me in the past.

Is there anything I can do? Many thanks,
Bruce

@c.gendron: Unless I’ve misunderstood your question, that sounds like a good question for the Postal Methods team. Here’s the link to their support forum: http://www.postalmethods.com/forums

I hope that helps!
